A
Place In Venice
Take a look at our website www.aplaceinvenice.com for information on our two great apartments next to St Mark’s Square in Venice.
Want to Buy a Small Property South of Rome?
Friends of ours want to sell a small property in a beautiful town called Fondi. Fondi is 130km south of Rome and just an hour and ten minutes by train. It is just 15km from the lovely seaside town of Sperlonga, and 145km to Naples. The price is €85,000. Contact us for more information.
Palazzola
Palazzola is the most beautiful place in the whole Roman countryside – it comprises an old Cistercian Monastery overlooking Lake Albano and boasts a spectacular view towards Rome. It is owned by the English College (a training College for Roman Catholic priests) and was used as their summer residence. Its use by the students has diminished over the years, and so it is now available as a holiday venue. It is idyllic for a quiet time and makes for a great retreat from the busy streets of Rome. Palazzola has extensive grounds and its own swimming pool. It is just 18 miles from Rome and only 15 minutes (by taxi) from Ciampino Airport.
A
Place In Abruzzo
We met Heather & Gary Miklos in Venice in 2003 and had a happy
time sharing our Italian experiences. They are Canadians and through
friends found themselves taking over the management of an apartment
in the lovely Abruzzi region of Italy. They even pinched our website
name!
‘Casa Puglielli’ is a spacious two-bedroom apartment
located in the historic town of Pratola Peligna in the heart of
the Abruzzi.
You may wish to spend some time there and have a different Italian
experience to complement your stay in Rome.
Dinan, Brittany & Javea, near Valencia
David Cordey lives near us. He taught our children at our local school. He has two lovely houses for rent, one in Brittany and one in Spain. Take a look at his website for more information.
Paulo Baigent is a good friend of ours. He designed our logo. It’s
amazing how long it takes to design something so simple! We spent
many hours considering various options, going through countless
pictures and images of Rome. Paulo worked with us patiently as we
slowly but surely arrived at the final design. He can be contacted
